FAQ & Policies

Sizing: 

Rings that are ready to ship are not able to be resized, because unfortunately once the stone has been set, there is no way for me to change the size of a ring without running the risk of ruining the stone or the stone’s setting.  SOME rings may be sized up 1/2 size by hammering the band - this can only be done on certain types of bands. Feel free to reach out to me BEFORE PURCHASE to see if this is possible if you have your eye on a ring that is slightly too small for you. Rings CANNOT be sized down.

I do offer settings that can be finished in the size of the buyer’s choice from time to time. “Finish in your size” will be listed in the listing title for these pieces. Unfortunately, I do not take returns due to incorrect size. I highly recommend visiting a local jeweler to make sure that you order the correct size for the perfect fit! You can also buy inexpensive ring sizers online, from Amazon for example. I detail sizing info in the listings, so please read all item descriptions prior to purchase. 

Most cuffs are slightly adjustable. Overbending can cause the metal to break or weaken, resulting in cracks. I would recommend gently finding your fit and then refraining from further bending. Please take care during this process as overbending while finding your fit can also cause damage. You can also measure around your wrist where you would want the cuff to sit with a sewing ruler prior to purchase to anticipate how a cuff will fit. Please read all item descriptions prior to purchase.

I am happy to extend/shorten chains where possible. Chain extenders for curb/figaro/herringbone necklaces can be purchased under the “Extras” tab. Chain extension for handmade chain pieces starts at $5 and will be invoiced separately. Total cost is dependent on length added - feel free to email me prior to purchase for a quote. 


Returns/Exchanges: 

Each piece of jewelry I create is made with love and intention. Due to the time and energy that I put into my craft, all sales are final. I am unable to offer refunds for reasons such as buyer’s remorse, a change of heart, or (as mentioned above) incorrect sizing. Please read all item descriptions carefully prior to purchase. I am not responsible for damage to jewelry while in the care of the customer. 

Custom pieces and finish in your size/style pieces are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged for store credit. 

Shipping

I ship all orders via USPS and make post office runs multiple times a week. Your package will include a tracking number. I offer free domestic (USA) shipping as a thank you for orders over $200.

pack each item carefully for transport, but in the event that an item does arrive damaged, please email me pictures within 3 days of package arrival at daydreamersilver@gmail.com and we can discuss next steps. Once I hand your package over to the post office, I am not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

I do ship international - if you have an issue checking out please let me know as each country needs to be added manually on my end to checkout on mg website Please also keep in mind for orders shipping outside of the United States that any applicable customs, tax and/or duty charges will be the responsibility of the customer. I am not able to give shipping estimates for international orders as this can vary greatly for a number of different reasons.  

Jewelry Care: 

Sterling silver will tarnish naturally over time due to oxidation from compounds in the air. This will cause the metal to have a discolored or dull appearance. There are a few ways to fight tarnish. The first is to store your silver jewelry in an airtight container when not being worn. You can find anti-tarnish strips, bags, and boxes online (such as on Amazon) to help protect your jewels. The oils from your skin will also help to prevent tarnish, so wearing your jewelry will help to protect from tarnish as well! I pack each order with a free polishing cloth. Simply wipe down your piece gently with the cloth to remove tarnish - but be careful around areas with patina, as the polishing cloth can remove this as well! 

I use natural stones in my products. Stones should be kept away from water, lotions, harsh chemicals/cleaners (especially softer, more porous stones such as turquoise and opals). Stones are delicate, and can crack or break if knocked against hard surfaces or dropped. Jewelry should be removed before showering, swimming, handwashing, etc. and should also be kept away from lotion and other similar products. 

All in all, these pieces are treasures and should be treated as such! 

 

Repairs:

I test my pieces for reasonable wear durability, but I understand that sometimes things happen! If something happens to your piece, please send me an email ASAP! You can use the "contact me" tab on my website or send directly to daydreamersilver@gmail.com - both will send the message to my inbox! Please attach pictures and description of the damage as well so I can determine the best course of action for a repair. Cost of repairs are at my discretion and exclude shipping to/from - please keep in mind this will be the responsibility of the customer. I am happy to do most minor repairs for free, however if a chain or other large component needs to be fully replaced, this will be an additional charge based on the market value for the metal since this changes daily. 

The majority of stones I use are hand cut by small business lapidary artists. This means that each stone is one of a kind in shape and color/matrix and I may not be able to replace a damaged stone as the setting would not fit another stone. I may be able to epoxy a cracked stone for stability to the best of my ability, but most likely will not be able to fully replace the stone or fill any chips. 

I am happy to offer polishing for any Daydreamer Silver piece free of charge! Send your piece to me and I will have it shining like new! (Excluding shipping to/from - please keep in mind this will be the responsibility of the customer)
